I too am right there with u hun. At the.moment we have to wash a dish if we want one and I mopped the floor the day for the first time in.I.don't wanna think about how long. I started the flylady challenge last yeah but it is so much that I felt like I was just cleaning all the time but I was getting into habits. And apparently when u get in the swing of it it stops feeling like that.
That went out the window in Feb and I'm struggling to get back into it so I can't even offer any advice just sympathetic grimyness...lol
Angelpants: I have tried Flylady too. I never bothered with the sink shining thing but I do try to do the dishes each night. I probably do it once a week. At least DH should do it today. I hope! I will be Mrs CrankyPants if I come home to a filthy kitchen this afternoon.
Liz: LOL re your FB status! I totally agree about having people over. Our last visitors were just over a week ago. Kids got neglected while we speed cleaned lol!
Good to know I'm not alone! The worst bit is, I'm at work so I can't even see it but it's still bugging me. I was so tempted to take a sickie today to clean up. Maybe I should have. lol!
Oh this is my day today too. I lost it at dd because she tipped the whole craft box onto the floor just as I finished tidying!!
The washing, sorting and arranging of clothes and crap is endless! Not to mention all the other areas of the house that need attention like the garden, verandahs, kitchen cupboards. I feel like a slave atm
We have the issue in the house these days that if something else needs doing then the housework falls over. Whilst I can keep up with the dishes and the laundry, every thing else falls behind. So if the garden needs doing, wood needs stacking, veggie patch produce needs preserving, take kids somewhere, well then the house work does not get done.
This is me too. I'm struggling to keep up with anything and the other day after doing DD1's birthday cake I forced myself to get the vacuum out because my feet literally were crunching over the tiles there was so much sand that the kids and/or dog had brought in. Feeling proud of myself until I turned around and walked back three metres to get the carpet attachment thingy and walked on sand again that the dog has JUST brought back in.
I hate seeing my lovely house so revolting, and then look outside and see grass growing through garden beds, the patio that desperately needs sweeping, blah blah blah. When I was about 20 I lived in a stable complex (not an actual stable, but grooms' quarters within the stable block) and I swear that "house" was cleaner that mine is now.
I know there are people out there that live in constantly pristine houses but I'm just not one of them, as much as I'd love to be.
